Brief Description
The Directorate General Border Security Force (BSF) invites online applications from eligible male and female Indian citizens for the direct recruitment of Head Constable (Radio Operator) and Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) in the Group 'C' combatised, non-gazetted, non-ministerial cadre. These are temporary posts likely to be made permanent. Selected candidates have an All India Service Liability and can be posted anywhere in India or abroad.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- HC (Radio Operator): 10+2 or equivalent with an aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics OR Matriculation with a two-year Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate in a relevant trade.
- HC (Radio Mechanic): 10+2 or equivalent with an aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics OR Matriculation with a two-year ITI certificate in a relevant trade.
Age Limit (as on 23/09/2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years.
- Maximum Age: 25 years for General/EWS.
- Age Relaxation: Up to 28 years for OBC and up to 30 years for SC/ST candidates.
Selection Process (Three Phases)
Phase-I: Written Examination (OMR Based)
- An objective type test with 100 questions for 200 marks, with a duration of 2 hours.
- Subjects include Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and English & GK.
- There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
Phase-II & Phase-III
- Phase-II: Includes Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Documentation, and a Dictation Test (for HC/RO only).
- Phase-III: Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME).
- Final merit will be prepared separately for each post based on the marks obtained in the Written Examination.

- The application process involves a One Time Registration (OTR), filling the application form, and uploading required documents.
